Better Biking! Family Fun Sessions

🚲FREE KIDS CYCLING/ BALANCE BIKE SESSIONS!! Calling all junior cyclists! We are very excited to announce that Inverclyde Bothy will be offering a series of drop-in “Better Biking! Family Fun Sessions” in Sommerville Weir Hall above our Quarriers cafe in January and February 2019! 🚲🚲🚲
 
WHERE: Sommerville Weir Hall, Quarriers Village (above Three Sisters Bake)
DATES: 12th Jan; 13th Jan; 3rd Feb; 23rd Feb
TIMES: 10.30am-12.30pm
LEVEL: Beginner level
AGE: Aimed at ages 3+
FREE COFFEE!: All adults attending the sessions can avail of a free coffee (sit in or take away!)*
*Free coffee offer available with any purchase of a brunch, cake/ scone or lunch item 😊


Bikes will be provided for ages 3-5; older kids please bring your own bike! The drop in sessions are aimed at young beginner and improver cyclists from age 3+. Sessions can be attended individually or as a series.
 
As part of Inverclyde Bothy’s mission to get more people cycling and walking, they will also be bringing along a range of family cycling equipment to give the grown ups a chance to try it out, there will be tag along bikes, a “follow me tandem”, child bike seats, child trailer and e-bikes.
 
FAMILY LED CYCLE – Each session will be followed by a family led cycle up to the cycle path from 12.30pm-1.30pm
The sessions are Drop-In so please just come along, no need to sign up.
 
The hall above Three Sisters Bake can be accessed by lift if wheelchair or pram access is required.
 
ACTIVE TRAVEL – As part of our commitment to encouraging active travel to our cafe and reducing traffic in the village, we would encourage as many people as possible to travel actively to the event – either on foot or by bike, the N75 cycle path can be accessed from Brisge of Weir and Kilmacolm and provides direct , traffic free access to Quarriers Village.
